Combining themes of love, longing and self-expression, Emily Rhodes’ honest and relatable lyricism brings a sense of positivity and an uplifting energy to listeners. Taking inspiration from artists such as Dolly Parton, CMAT, Kacey Musgraves and Jade Bird, Emily blends Americana, pop, rock and country.
Growing up in Lancashire, Emily started off busking in Blackpool and Preston and playing at local grassroots venues. Her songs have featured on BBC Introducing many times and she was shortlisted for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge Introducing competition.
In July 2026, Emily graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) where she studied Music and was one of a small cohort of students selected to have a one-to-one songwriting session with Sir Paul McCartney.
Most recently Emily was invited to sing live on stage at London’s O2 Arena. Performing her single Famous To Me to an audience of 15,500, comedian Peter Kay invited Emily to take to the stage after seeing footage of her performing at LIPA.
Along with The O2, Emily has performed at venues across the UK including Liverpool’s The Cavern Club, The Jacaranda and Arts Bar Hope Street, The Ferret (Preston), Bootleg Social (Blackpool) and Kanteena (Lancaster).
Emily is set to headline The Eagle Inn, Salford, on Wednesday 16th September.
